Over 15 years of work experience in equity research. Prior to Foundation of Omkara Capital, he was fund manager of a AMC and prior to this, Corporate Editor & Head of Research at CNBC – TV 18. He holds a degree in MSc Finance and MBA, Finance. VB has spent the last 15 years in Mumbai, learning from people across the spectrum, some of whom are his mentors, and applying his strong fundamental skills and hard-nosed number crunching and analytical skills to identify investment ideas. His strength is years of experience in identifying not-so-fashionable stock ideas. Most of these ideas have had a bedrock of strong fundamentals, superior balance sheets and boasted of high-quality promoters. He has coupled this approach with the strong feedback mechanism, which is effective due to his deep-rooted connections with equity-market veterans and leaders of corporate India.

She has over 15 years of research experience in equity markets including specialisation in fundamental analysis and building and applying quantitative models. Prior to this, she was working with globally reputed investors including Gquant Investech. She has extensively worked for ESG practices at a global fund at Goldfish Capital, consultants to GMO LLC. She spent her initial years with a sell-side broking house as a Research Analyst before moving to a corporate side at Escorts Ltd as Head Investor Relations. She holds a degree in MBA, Finance and BA Hons. (Economics).

He has 10+ years of experience (Buy-side & sell-side) in the evaluation and implementation of new investment ideas conducted through apt risk assessment across sectors. Apart from this, he also evaluates both micro and macroeconomic factors that have an impact on industries and the company’s present and future growth. Rakesh commenced his career with a buy-side firm in Chennai and later on joined Mumbai based PMS firm. Post that, he worked with Asit C. Mehta Investment Intermediates as a Sr. Equity Research Analyst (Institutional Equity). He completed his MBA in Finance from Chennai and graduated from Delhi university.

He has experience in preparing financial data model using excel formulations for the use of Research Analysis, which include the data generation for the purpose of financial analysis and building financial modules.

He is a SEBI registered Research Analyst with more than a decade of experience in Indian and global equities. He is a Pioneer in Corporate Governance and Accounting Research in Indian Market, who has successfully developed a product for Institutional Investors known as ‘Analysis beyond Consensus’. Madhusudan Kela is founder of MK Ventures. He was chief investment strategist at Reliance Capital until 2017. He is currently the promoter of MK Ventures is on Board of various companies. He graduated in 1991 from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai with a Masters in Management Studies. Thereafter he did equity research at CIFCO and Sharekhan. In 1994, he joined Motilal Oswal to start its institutional desk before moving to UBS in 1996. In 2001, he joined Reliance Mutual Fund. During this tenure, Reliance Mutual Fund`s assets grew from nearly Rs 200 crore in 2002 to more than Rs 1 Lakh crore in 2011. Under his leadership, Reliance Mutual Fund received many awards and was rated the most trusted Mutual Fund House for three consecutive years by The Economic Times.

Sunil Singhania, CFA, is the founder of Abbakus Asset Management. He was the first person from India to be nominated to the CFA Institute Board of Governors, and is currently chair of its investment committee. Prior to establishing his current firm in 2018, he was global head, equities, at Reliance Capital where he oversaw equity assets and provided strategic inputs across the Reliance Capital Group of companies, including asset management, insurance, AIF, and offshore assets. Singhania was also the founding president of CFA Society India, formerly the Indian Association of Investment Professionals.
